Taylor event #2

Location: Taylor Arizona on August 7 & 8.

Up in northern Arizona, in the gorgeous weather (30 degrees cooler than Phoenix), the company is great, and the autocrossing is simply awesome. The only problem, is that my truck sort of sucks for autocross.

This is where you come in, enabling my car slut summer to continue!

Once again I will be towing the timing trailer, so will be in need of a generous individual (or two!) to allow me to drive their vehicle at the August events in Taylor. I promise to try not to break your car, but I seem to be incapable of not trying my best, so some cone carnage is fairly probable. Owner ride-alongs are more than welcome, and I'm more than willing to ride along and offer assistance and tips on your runs if wanted. Of course I'll also kick in some cash for tires and gas.

Huge thanks to Matt Soeffner and Kevin O'Neil for allowing me to abuse drive their cars last weekend. I had a great time.

So I'll be towing the timing trailer up to the July event, and then towing it back in August, and since the good ol' Ford pickup isn't much of an autocross rig, it would be awesome if someone (or multiple someones, there are 4 days!) would allow me to co-drive up in the cool weather this summer.

Annual Tech - February event

We will be having annual tech at the next event, Sunday the 7th.

Annual tech will be open all day, except when "regular" tech is open, or when I'm running (depending on other tech workers, possibly even then).

In order to have your car approved for annual tech, you must be a full member of the SCCA (sorry, weekend members can not get annual tech), and you must not be a novice.

Please read section 3.3.3 of the Solo Rules ( http://www.scca.com/documents/Solo_Rules/2...final_draft.pdf ) prior to requesting an annual tech inspection. You must agree to abide by all of these rules (there will be a form for your to sign for this).

Note that we have not been using an annual tech sticker per these rules, and instead have used the windshield chalk numbers. For the moment this will remain the same, and I will require your annual tech card to be presented at the event when you bring your registration form in lieu of this sticker.
