If I can find a volunteer who would like to learn how to use the software that we used last summer in Flagstaff and in Taylor we are going to use it in Taylor.
This would be your work assignment for the weekend ( Right, Kevin?) I need someone who likes to sit in front of a laptop and type in the car numbers and make sure that the computer reads the right time from the timing system. And add cones if anyone should dare hit one. Ideally it would be someone who is going to be in Taylor Friday night and would like to get together over a few beers (I'm buying) to learn how to use the software. The plan is for me to run the laptop for my work assignment and for someone else to be the laptop person when I am running. I'm sure we can shuffle run groups around so this will work (Right, Kevin?) With the right people we should be able to announce current class place in real time and print out results between heats. Last I heard we were also going to run the weekend like we did last year where we have a morning event and an afternoon event each day. Like 4 separate events in two days (Right, Kevin?) Please send me a message and I will update this thread when I have a volunteer. Thanks, Steve

Does anyone else think that the SCCA is treating SOLO participants unfairly with respect to the $10 that is being charged the Annual Waiver Hard Card for "Other Members" when members with Competition Licenses or those who have worked 2 days in the previous year at Club Racing events get their hard cards for $0?
It now cost me $85 per year for dues and $9+ per event for insurance for SOLO events. $20 of the $85 goes to our local region which is good. How much of the $20 goes to the solo program? Still a bargain but I'm wondering where all of the money is going. Guess I've been watching the people in D.C. too long-LOL. Does anyone know how much racer's pay for insurance per event? Asking where the money goes is usually good for some heated discussion whether it's with my wife, my elected officials, or a club I pay dues to. The answers are always so interesting.

It was a great event. Thanks to all of the folks who set it up and made it happen. Dawn did a great job of making the event run. Britt designed a couple of great Miata courses.
I really want to thank Clinton (?), Fred Zust, Mindi Cross, and Kevin Gleaton for stopping to see if I needed help when the Miata decided to be in both reverse and 5th at the same time about 10 miles out of Payson. Long technical explanation is available for cash. LOL.

I was trying to get in touch with someone who is organizing the Flag events for this summer.
Any ideas who I should contact?

Who should I contact about setting up the computer scoring software for this summer. We can use the Phoenix region's computer. We need a printer.
