Will forever be the winningest STS2 car in AZ region history (since STS2 doesn’t exist anymore, renamed STS laugh.gif )

I’d suggest that you would be better off buying a car in better condition off of Craigslist then buying this car, I’m really just putting this ad in for the entertainment value of the last line of the ad. This really would only be good for someone that wants to part it out or just use it as the basis of some creation. Time and money you spend fixing this up would not be worth it.

If it doesn’t sell before the insurance runs out in a couple weeks I’m pulling any good bits I want (or would want to sell separate) off the car and donating it.

Mods:
Koni yellows (front right is leaking out the adjustment on the top)
OBX adjustable perches and springs
F 124-64-75 (which I convert to 4.8” long, 2.5” dia, 420 lbs/in)
R 150-64-58 (which I convert to 5.9” long, 2.5” dia, 324 lbs/in)
(I actually got these measured on a spring force tester when I got them and they measured pretty close to 420-425 front, 300 rear according to my recollection)
VLSD (I haven’t had a chance to test it’s operation per the FSM procedures recently but can if you like)
super ghetto intake (but you will need to supply a cone filter)
lightweight battery (generic motorcycle battery, Yuasa YTZ14-S equivalent)
“I’d Rather Be Shopping At Harbor Freight” license plate frame.

Included but not installed on the car:
Mesa Muffler built cat back exhaust that allows mounting of spare under the car, uses generic mini-turbo muffler
Racing Beat 4 into 1 header, ceramic coated
(cracked but should be repairable, I had it repaired once and it cracked again, I suspect because the exhaust/header combo installed at the time had 3 or so less exhaust mounting points, if you reinstall and can adapt the stock header to transmission mounting bracket you may have better luck)

The bad (as good as I can remember them all):
bad top
non-working ac (i think the compressor is worn out)
clunk in right front suspension
has 3 marginal tires, 1 flat/melted tire (donut installed at front right)
power steering leaks
power steering rack may be damaged, at the very least the engine subframe that it mounts to is tweaked
cannot get max front left caster due to tweaked suspension mounting points on subframe
engine may be loosing oil pressure, 160k on the odo
no jack comes with the car
body damage (1 door tweaked to a point that it does not quite seal properly)
paint is in bad shape
center console lid broken
glovebox door broken
tape deck broken
soft top latches do not lock in place
airbag light blinking
inside stinks a bit, may be the cats are back or could just be musty from getting wet (see bad top above)

The good:
Runs and passes emissions

$1500 (most of the price is for the mods on the car)

And now for the pay off that is sure to set Lahey’s mind a twitter with potential offers:

Interesting trades considered.

I already tried the free check at https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck but was wondering if anyone out there had access to reports right now.

TIA.

Technically I don't own the car but i think I have already put it to good use in the short timne that I've had it. ph34r.gif

If you have an idea of what I used it for (and a few of you should) feel free to use that to your advantage (or disadvantage wink.gif )

Any reccomendations for a good midrange (thinking $300ish) digital camera that is good at taking indoor pictures without a flash (for pictures of art in museums where you are not allowed to use a flash).

Ideally it would be easy to use, fairly small, use SD cards and not use AA batteries (but instead the rechargable kind).

Reason is my wife is into art and many art museums do not let you use flash photography to take pictures. We have a trip coming up and I am thinking of getting a new camera for it. With the camera that we have now I take a bunch of picture w/out the flash and sometimes I am lucky to get 1 good photo. If there is some sort of camera with some super technology to solve this I'd consider going up in price.
