Feb 14 Event – Saturday at FIR

The AZ Region will be kicking off the Spring 2004 Series with the Sweetheart Solo 2 on Saturday, February 14 at Firebird International Raceway.

The whole skid pad will be used for the course, just like at the National Tour. Grid will not be taking up valuable space on the skid pad, offering more options for a bigger course. Sweet!

In addition to a bigger course, there is a sweetheart of a deal for spouses and significant others who don’t regularly autocross. If you are a frequent participant but your other half hasn’t autocrossed with us in the past year, he or she can enter for just $10. Just mention this offer at Registration. If pre-registering online, use the Comment section to mention this sweetheart deal and include both your names. Separate registrations for each person please.

To make it more interesting, the club is offering fabulous prizes to those couples that can most accurately predict the difference in their last run times. The difference could be 10 seconds or 0.1 seconds between each partner, but those who come closest (high or low) to guessing the spread win lovely gifts. For couples driving in different heats, the predictions must be registered before the third run of the second (edited - originally was the first) driver. Only raw times count in the calculation, no penalties, no PAX. Prizes will be awarded for both AM and PM sessions. It’s kind of like the old TV game show “The Newlyweds”, only with run times and instead of Bob Eubanks it will be Jim Rohn!
